Churros, Spanish donuts, they say, is now frying in Jakarta. Tried some in Churreria Cafe, Grand Indonesia this evening. Yes, they offer a great ones. The churros came in not more than 2cm diameter, with 25cm length. Sprinkled with cinnamon or icing sugar, and served with varies dipping (milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate or caramel). Must say, the milk chocolate (compared to the dark one) is a champion. Goes well with the churros it's like a joyful moment in your mouth.
Too bad we were too greedy to took a picture before they were eaten. But there's always better than nothing. So, do you think it's a good (empty) plate? :D
Overall (price, taste, serving, service) I would gladly give an 8/10. Just a slight over-price. Rp.28K for 4 churros and 1 dipping.
Care to drive further to try another? Try Golden Churros, lower price, different style, but also great. Deserves a 9/10. I'm being overrated? Well, go get some.
